Series 4: Frank Lloyd Wright
Building Conservancy

The Frank Lloyd Wright Building Conservancy was founded in 1989 as a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation and maintenance of surviving Wright-designed structures. Programs include education, publishing, and technical services in support of building conservation. John Geiger was a member of the Conservancy for more than 15 years, collecting publications and attending conferences sponsored by the organization. The materials in these files were accumulated by Geiger as he received them in the mail or participated in various Conservancy events.

Documentation for the Frank Lloyd Wright Building Conservancy is arranged into 3 subseries:

Subseries 1: publications (1990-2010), consists largely of issues of Bulletin, a quarterly newsletter; and the first issue of Save Wright magazine, both published by the Conservancy.

Subseries 2: conferences (1990-1992, 1995), contains programs and registration materials for various annual meetings.

Subseries 3: tours, reports, and mailings (1990-1991), including annual reports, information on tours, and membership solicitations.

Subseries 1: publications

The bulk of the Publications subseries consists of issues of Bulletin, an informative newsletter published quarterly by the Frank Lloyd Wright Conservancy; and there is also an introductory brief and sample issue for a monthly magazine titled Save Wright.
